Costs and Reimbursement

The costs of the Freefeet slippers may vary according per podiatrist. Your podiatrist can inform you about the costs in advance.
If you already wear therapeutic soles, the costs are usually lower than when an foot examination still has to take place.
During a foot examination, your therapist will identify the problems and discuss them with you. Among other things, there will be a walking analysis to determine the most suitable footbed.
The costs also depend on the type of slipper or sandal model and which orthopedic adjustments are required.

Cost structure

  • The fitting consultation and examination to determine your foot problem.
  • The manufacture of the individual footbed (podiatric aid).
  • Checking the correct fit of your individual device before finishing your slipper or sandal.
  • The material cost of the shaft (upper part of the slipper or sandal). These costs are not reimbursed by health insurance and are usually the basis of your personal contribution.

Reimbursement

Many health insurers have included a reimbursement scheme for podiatry, podology and / or therapeutic aids in their additional health insurance. However, the amount of this reimbursement differs greatly between health insurances. It also depends on which additional package you have pre-arranged.
