Flat feet

A ‘normal’ foot type has an arch on the inside and is almost flat on the outside. Flat feet have the toes, forefoot, outside of the foot and heel in contact with the ground. The arch of the foot rests completely or partially on the ground. A flat foot is a foot type and not a deviation. The arch of the foot is (slightly) lower than normal. Flat feet are often hereditary. Most children have flat feet in their early years. After the sixth year, the arch vault becomes clearly visible and the feet don’t look so flat anymore. Many adults have flat feet. In most cases this is not a malformation, but a natural phenomenon.

Regularly complaints arise from Flat Feet. Flat feet can cause foot pain, swelling and fatigue. This can result in complaints in the knees, hip and back. The complaints often worsen when wearing “flat” normal slippers. In contrast to your shoes, which often have a foot profile that pushes the arch of the foot up slightly. Shoes therefore provide some correction in contrast to slippers. Zlippo flip flops and sandals have a personal footbed and correct exactly what you need in terms of correction to walk complaint-free. This correction, tailored to your personal needs, cannot be achieved with ready-to-wear slippers or sandals. Would you like to be informed about the possibilities for you?
